How exactly is my age calculated?
We count real calendar days rather than average years. Leap years, months of 28 to 31 days and daylight saving time are all accounted for, so the day count is exact.
Is my date of birth stored?
No. The calculation happens entirely on your own device. Your date of birth never reaches our servers, never appears in the link and is never saved. Refresh the page and it is gone.
Why is 29 February shown as 1 March?
In years without a 29 February a choice has to be made. We use 1 March, the same line Dutch law takes for reaching an age.
Is the hour count exact?
The hour count is the number of whole calendar days times 24. We do not ask for your time of birth, so a more precise number would pretend to know something we do not.
Do I need an account?
No. The tool is free and works without signing in.
